From traditional cocktails to Southern favorites, Amen Street’s mixologists are known for crafting works of art behind the bar. If you are looking for a new cocktail to try, here’s some of our favorite drinks at Amen Street.
Amen Street Oyster Shooter – This is probably one of our most popular drinks because it combines the best of both worlds at Amen Street….fresh seafood and great cocktails. Our oyster shooter is made with House Infused Spicy Lemon Pepper Vodka, Amen Street’s exclusive Bloody Mary Mix and a fresh oyster. We know that not all oyster shooters are made the same, but we’ve got to say that it makes sense that the restaurant with the best oysters in Charleston would also have the best oyster shooter, right?
Hemingway Mojito - With Bacardi Rum, Campari, Fresh Grapefruit, Fresh Mint and Soda, the Hemingway Mojito is one of those drinks best enjoyed on vacation…or if you just want to feel like you are! The fresh ingredients are really the key to making this cocktail so amazing. There is no denying each distinct flavor with every sip.
Peninsula Peach Tea - A “must-have” if you are visiting Charleston, this cocktail is made with locally made Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka, Peach Schnapps, Sweet and Sour and Lemonade. Lighten up this cocktail by requesting Firefly Skinny Tea instead of regular. Either way, it’s refreshing, flavorful and perfect for our balmy Charleston Summer nights.
Keeping it peachy, we have to recommend our “Critic’s Choice” Frozen Peach Bellini (pictured right). Made with Sparkling Wine, Peach Schnapps, Rum, Peach Puree and a splash of Lime Juice, our Peach Bellini is perfect any of time of day. If you want a little extra punch, we recommend adding a Myer’s Rum Floater with your drink.
The Old “Charleston” - A favorite among many locals, this cocktail is made with Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, Grand Marinier and Muddled with Fresh Orange, Cherry, Sugar and Bitters. Not too sweet and not too spicy…just perfect.
There’s nothing like a great martini and our Southern Pomegranate does not disappoint. Shaken with Southern Comfort, Pama Liquor, Fresh Squeeze Lime Juice and Cranberry Juice, our Southern Pomegranate Martini is sinfully good.
Speaking of sinful martinis, our Van Gogh Espresso Martini just might be guilty as charged. Made with Van Gogh Espresso Vodka, Kahlua, Creme de Cocoa and Bailey’s Irish Cream, it’s up to you if want to call it a cocktail or dessert.
Mexican Elder - Another great cocktail for a vacation state of mind, our Mexican Elder combines Jose Quervo, St. Germain, Pineapple Juice and Rose Water for a truly refreshing beverage.
If wine is more to your liking, our wine bar boasts an impressive collection of whites, reds, champagne, sparkling wine and blends from well-known wine regions around the world. We also have five beers on tap along with numerous bottled craft beers. Without a doubt, there is something for everyone at Amen Street!
