Amen Street to Host Five-Course Anne Amie Wine Dinner
Charleston, SC – Nov., 29th, 2010 – The most pleasant Tuesday evening of December will be spent sampling wines and tasting new dishes at Amen Street Fish and Raw Bar’s Five Course Wine Dinner. The event will be held on Tuesday, December 7th at 6:30 in the evening in handsome and historic Amen Street, located at 205 East Bay Street, on the peninsula’s ‘restaurant row’.
Head chef Stephen Ollard has prepared an extensive and varied menu featuring local and sustainable fish, such as Red Porgy, Triggerfish and Grouper, as well as succulent shellfish like scallops, capers and, of course, the magical oyster. Delectable wines from Anne Amie Vineyards flawlessly accent this striking menu. Each of the five courses is paired with a hand chosen wine meant to both complement the flavors of the dish and cleanse the palate with each sip. It is Ollard’s hopes that this Dinner will turn into a sort of Wine Club, meeting frequently and conducting tastings, while discussing all things vino.
Tickets for the Wine Dinner are $55 each and this price includes: 5 course meal, wine pairings, knowledge and discussion of featured wines as well as a surprise amuse bouche to whet the appetite. To make reservations and save your spot at the table, call 843-853-8600 and tell them you want to be a part of Amen Street’s premier Five Course Wine Dinner.
