The Season’s Freshest Seafood and Cocktails

Amen Street Shrimp & Lobster RollSummertime and fresh seafood go together like lemonade and porch swings around these parts, and if you’re looking for the freshest seafood around you need look no further than the sturdy wooden doors of Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar at 315 East Bay Street in historic downtown Charleston. Come inside out of the summer heat, and grab a seat in one of our comfortable booths, or stake out a stool at the bar under our handcrafted oyster chandeliers. Wherever you sit, you’ll be poised to enjoy our menus comprised of fresh, regionally caught seafood and locally grown produce.

Our newest house oyster is the Pamlico Oyster, raised in the Pamlico Sound on the North Carolina coast, these mid-sized delicacies are plum and meaty with a very clean, non-briny finish. Pair a dozen on the half shell with a glass of lightly sweet Moncalvina Moscato d’Asti, or one of the three rosés from our Drink Menu.

A new addition to our Lunch Menu is the Lowcountry Lobster and Shrimp Roll. It’s a suped up southern version of the New England classic, combining delicious fresh lobster and shrimp with a flavorful herb remoulade. It’s served with pickled okra and garlic dill pickle slices.

Sometimes the best way to cool off on a hot day is to sip on a fresh, handcrafted cocktail. Our Specialty Cocktail menu offers a wide variety of libations made by our skillful bartenders using the freshest ingredients we could find.

The “Bobby E”

Ice cold firefly sweet tea vodka and a squeeze of fresh lemon. It doesn’t get much more southern than this simple, easy to sip cocktail.

The “Holy Basil”

Named for the Holy City where it was created, this twist on a traditional Moscow Mule brings together vodka, ginger beer, fresh basil and lime juice, and a splash of soda, for a refreshingly fizzy, not too sweet flavor.

The “Loquation”

The newest addition to our drink menu, this cocktail includes rum infused with fresh loquats grown in downtown Charleston, loquat simple syrup, fresh lime juice, Vince’s ginger beer, and a dash of bitters.
