A bright gem in the center of the Anne Amie Wine Dinner was the delicious homemade cheese and fresh fig served with 2009 Anne Amie Pinot Gris.
This is one of those tasty instances where the food is sweeter than the wine. The nectar tartness of the fig pressed against the sour raspberry and fell together on the creamy, lemony house-made cheese. The unique zestiness of the cheese made my tastebuds sing after each sip of the clear, crisp, acidic Pinot Gris.
Stay tuned for more news about homemade cheese and Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar; you know we like to keep it local!
Cheers!
