‘Tis the season to enjoy holiday happenings at Amen Street Fish and Raw Bar in Charleston, SC! Downtown is bustling with holiday shoppers, concerts and festivities and in the heart of it all is Amen Street; the perfect place to relax with friends and family.
Nothing gets you in the holiday spirit like, well…holiday spirits. Our mixologists crafted two new divine cocktails that are perfect for the festive season. Since egg nog is something that is only enjoyed during the holidays, it is probably a good idea to have the very best egg nog available and that would Amen Nog. We use homemade egg nog and house-infused spiced pecan bourbon to create a cocktail you will look forward to year after year. Like a refreshing kick with your holiday spirits? Try our Winter Elixir made with Somersby hard apple cider, bourbon, lemon, fresh mint and honey.
We also have new additions to the menu that you will definitely want to try beginning with our Baked Oysters. With five fresh shucked local select oysters topped with a mousse of house cured Tasso ham, spinach and parmesan cheese that is all baked to gooey perfection, it is probably easy to see why our customers have quickly renamed this dish “Amen’s Famous Baked Oysters.”
Another great new starter is our Lobster Salad featuring poached Maine lobster, dressed arugula and grilled baguette slices. Chef Stephen Ollard has also put a new twist on his famous Fish Tacos. Adding a “baja” flavor, the fish tacos now feature tempura fried local fresh flounder with spicy adoba rub and topped with napa slaw and chipolte crema. What can we say about these three new menu items? Delicious, flavorful, mouthwatering…oh, the list goes on and on.
Our restaurant is open on both Christmas Eve and New Years Eve with dinner served until 10 p.m. The bar is open until 2 a.m. on both days. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling Amen Street at 843-853-8600 or you can book your table online.
