Comfort Food: Scallops with Blue Cheese Risotto

Amen Street knows their seafood and this was evident in the opening course of the Wine Dinner. Course one was a Seared Jumbo Scallop served with Bacon and Buttermilk Blue Cheese Risotto.

Truly mouthwatering, this buttery scallop and risotto were cleaned from the tongue by the berry tones of the 2008 Anne Amie Cuvee A Pinot Noir served alongside.

All of this broke the bubbles of tension between new friends and invited us to talk, laugh and eat. No better way to start an evening.
