Happy Memorial Day Weekend

Its summertime y’all, and the Holy City is alive with excitement! From the visitors making their way to the City Market to learn our history and sample work from local artisans, to locals, happily making their way to Waterfront Park to take in the sweeping views of the Charleston Harbor.

We don’t know about you, but the hustle and bustle of downtown Charleston in the summertime gives us a major craving for refreshing drinks and classic southern seafood. This Memorial Day weekend, join us at Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar for lunch or dinner and treat yourself to an ice-cold beer or refreshing cocktail, and the best selection of fresh oysters in town.

Our house oyster is the Ace Blade, from St. Jude Farms in Green Pond, SC, and is always $17.95 per dozen, and $17.95 per half dozen. You can’t go wrong with this savory, salty, wild-caught variety that grows in the creeks and rivers of the Ace Basin, developing a distinct blade-shaped shell. The natural flavor of the Ace Blade oyster pairs extremely well with Holy City Pluff Mud Porter and Westbrook White Thai, both brewed locally and both available on tap at Amen. Oyster eating insider tip: if you like a little heat, try a splash of Amen Street Hot Sauce on your oysters! You will thank us!

After you’ve tasted the Ace Blades, be sure to try one of our other 23 varieties, sourced from up and down the East Coast, including Single Ladies, and Bluffton Wildes, sourced right here in South Carolina.
Seating is available in our contemporary dining room, complete with our famous oyster chandeliers, but our favorite spot to relax and soak up this wonderful weather is just outside at one of our patio tables. There is nothing more southern than sipping a cocktail on the front porch while enjoying time with friends. It’s even better when your front porch is historic East Bay Street! For summertime sipping, you can’t go wrong with any of the choices from our Specialty Cocktail menu, but we especially love our Frozen Peach Bellini, made from our owner’s special recipe, and the Cucumber Pimm’s, made with Hendrick’s Cucumber gin, Pimm’s No. 1, a squeeze of fresh lemon and a bit of ginger.

Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence! We invite you to come visit this weekend, and see why Amen Street should be your lunch and dinner destination this summer!
