With the bursts of Spring like days we’ve been enjoying in Charleston SC, many of guests have been opting to lighten up with fresh salads from Amen Street. Although we often receive praise for our seafood dishes, it’s been fun hearing how Charlestonians also love our greens. The reason for the “salad love” is our salads are so fresh and flavorful because we use produce grown from local farmers.
Whether you choose one of our salads or make your own creation by adding fried oysters, fried or grilled shrimp, grilled fresh fish or crabcakes our salads are perfect for lunch or dinner:
Berries Salad – By far one of our guests’ favorite salads, this seemingly simple salad is anything but simple on your taste buds. Mixed greens, seasonal berries, Charleston Bloomy-Rind Cheese and spiced pecans are tossed with a champagne vinaigrette to create a fabulous light lunch or before dinner salad.
Mixed Greens – Julienne vegetables, spiced pecans (ooh, those yummy spiced pecans!) and white balsamic vinaigrette are tossed together for a truly light salad that packs a big punch on flavor. Add one of our fresh seafood selections to give it even more flavor and texture.
Caesar – The classic. Romaine hearts, shaved parmesan, white anchovy and Caesar dressing.
Roasted Beets (available only on our dinner menu)- Fresh and juicy roasted beets are topped with buttermilk blue cheese, toasted walnuts and balsamic.
