Wine Pairings for Charleston Restaurant Week Menu

Downtown Charleston top seafood restaurant, Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar added perfect wine pairings to their 3 for $30 Charleston Restaurant Week menu. Sip and savor with these amazing wines:
Hailing from the Marlborough region of New Zealand, Oyster Bay Chardonnay beautifully pairs with Amen’s Oyster Stew offered on the first course of the menu.   This delicious chardonnay has concentrated aromas and flavors of ripe citrus and stonefruit, balanced with subtle oak, and a creamy texture to finish. Enjoy by the glass for $9 and share a bottle with your table for only $35.
For the second course, we recommend the Cabernet Sauvignon Marques De Casa Concha from D.O. Puente Alto Chile.  This wine has been ranked three times in the prestigious Top 100 Wines of the Year by Wine Spectator.   The Cabernet Sauvignon pairs wonderfully with Amen Street’s shrimp and grits. Enjoy this wine by the glass for $11 or the bottle for $43.
For the third course,  we highly recommend Jackson Triggs, Vidal Icewine from the Niagara Peninsula in Canada.  Made from frozen grapes, this richly textured wine displays fresh tropical aromas of papaya, mango and apricot. Bold fruit flavours balanced with fine acidity caress the palate and conclude with an exquisite silky finish.   Enjoy it by the glass for just $8.
